Call or text. Texting is fine and often quicker — a closing question does not need a phone call. If the line is busy it is because the firm is small, not because you are being screened.
Best when you have something to attach — an agreement of purchase and sale, a lease, a draft contract, a will. Send the document with your first email and the first answer will be a real one.

Buying, selling or refinancing
Residential and commercial closings, refinances, title transfers, survivorship applications, pre-construction and assignments.

For corporate, commercial, and ongoing counsel work, you will have the scope, a fixed or capped fee, and a timeline in writing before any engagement begins. No evergreen retainer, and no money held in trust for work that has not been done yet.
Fees for standard matters are already published, so most of this can be priced before you even call.

Appointments outside these hours, including evenings and weekends, can be scheduled with 48 hours’ notice. Ask directly and the answer is usually yes. The posted hours are when the office is open, not the only time you can be seen.
Before you call
None of this is required. It just makes the first conversation a useful one instead of a scheduling exercise.
- Know your date — the closing date, the signing deadline, the date you were told to respond by
- Have the document to hand, even if you have not read it
- Know who else is involved — the other side, the agent, the lender, the other shareholders
- Say if someone has already given you advice on it, and what they said
- Ask about fees on the first call. They are published, and quoting them is not an awkward conversation here
Common questions
How quickly will I hear back?
Calls are returned the same business day. Email is answered by the next business day at the latest, and usually sooner. If a closing is imminent, say so in the subject line and it moves to the front of the queue.
Will I actually speak to the lawyer?
Yes. Every call and email is answered by Karim Eshqoor, the firm's founder, directly. There is no intake team and no file being passed to someone you have not met.
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. An initial conversation to work out what you need and what it would cost is free. Fees for the work itself are published in advance, so you will know the number before you engage the firm rather than after.
Can you meet somewhere other than the office?
Yes. Mobile signing is available across York Region and the Greater Toronto Area at additional cost, which is quoted before it is booked. This is common for estate signings and for clients who cannot travel.
Can everything be done remotely?
Most of it. Real estate closings, corporate work, and consultations run by phone, email, and video. The exception is notarisation — notarial acts must be done in person in Ontario, though commissioning an affidavit or statutory declaration can be done by video.
Can I be seen outside your posted office hours?
Yes. Appointments outside 10:00 to 15:00, including evenings and weekends, can be scheduled with 48 hours’ notice — just ask when you call or email. The posted hours are when the office is open, not the only time you can be seen. This is routine for signings that have to fit around a work schedule.
Is there parking at your office?
Yes — free parking, and plenty of it, steps from the door. No meters, no parking app, and no circling the block looking for a spot. This is one of the practical advantages of a South Aurora office over a downtown Toronto one, particularly if you are coming in to sign documents.
How do I find the office once I am on Yonge Street?
The office is at 14981 Yonge Street in South Aurora, next door to the Multicare walk-in clinic and pharmacy and directly across the road from Starbucks. The entrance is at street level and the office is upstairs. If you have reached Starbucks, you are looking at the right side of the street from the wrong side of it.
What languages does the firm work in?
English and Persian. Documents, agreements, and correspondence are prepared in English, and the conversation can be held in either language.
Do you take on work outside the Greater Toronto Area?
The firm is licensed to practise anywhere in Ontario and regularly acts on matters across the province. The Aurora office matters for in-person signings, not for jurisdiction.
