Position Overview
Executive Legal Assistant (Pay Negotiable)
We are looking for a motivated Executive Legal Assistant to join our team!

We are looking for a person with the right the skill set and an organizational fit. This role is very unique, in that this position acts as the ‘left hand’ of the Founder and Managing Partner. They therefore need a go-getter attitude and must be flexible and able to take initiative, as this position may encompass a wide variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:
Manage the front office; screen calls, emails, take messages and respond to queries;
Provide administrative and legal support to lawyers, act as legal assistants or law clerks as needed;
Proofread, draft, edit and prepare legal documents and correspondence;
Communicate with clients and counsel;
Maintain electronic and print files; opening and closing files;
Support during any absences by dealing with issues within scope of authority and directing issues that require the attention of others;
Assist on special projects, which may include attending internal and external events - to provide logistical support;
Be a “follow-up manager”, ensuring new contacts, commitments, tasks and initiatives undertaken are managed;
Requirements:
Background experience or education in Law an asset;
Willingness to learn law theory and practice an asset;
Excellent Written skills
Detail-oriented and with a high degree of accuracy;
Highly organized and flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks and relationships in a fast-paced, professional environment;
Self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision;
Analytical and problem-solving skills to research and summarize information;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (asset);
